American Fifth Coffee Liqueur, American Fifth Wheat Whiskey, house-made Demerara syrup, apple wood smoking chips, lemon peel

2 oz. American Fifth Coffee Liqueur
1 oz. American Fifth Wheat Whiskey
1/2 oz. house-made Demerara syrup
3 apple wood smoke chips

Place all ingredients in small tin. Place hawthorn strainer on top of small tin. Put smoking chips on top of strainer and torch. Place large tin on top and smoke for 10 seconds. Remove chips from strainer and add ice to tin. Shake and double strain into chilled rocks glass. Garnish with activated lemon peel.
