State-wide Sales Rep

Full-time, Commission
American Fifth Spirits, Lansing’s first distillery, is looking to hire a Michigan state-wide sales representative to establish and increase brand awareness.

The Michigan state-wide salesperson will be a part of a highly creative team, focused on driving sales and building brand awareness for American Fifth Spirits by maintaining relationships with our distributor partner, top on premise accounts and key off premise accounts. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the Michigan state-wide salesperson will contribute to local marketing and event planning and attendance.

Planning

Work with President to establish quarterly sales goals.

Report monthly, quarterly and annual sales.

Licensee Holder Relationship Management

Spend a significant amount of time in the field in order to establish and maintain relationships with key accounts across Michigan.

Host key account personnel at distillery. Conduct distillery tours and tastings.

Conduct staff training and tastings in accounts. Educating bartenders, beverage managers, servers and consumers.

Schedule off-premise tastings and coordinate field marketers to represent American Fifth.

Distributor Relationship Management

Maintain constant communication with Michigan distributor.

Work with wholesaler salespeople to achieve sales goals.

Support distributor in sales merchandising activities such as building displays, developing and displaying point of sale.

Contribute new ideas and solutions for distributor and accounts.

Analysis

Monitor and analyze actual sales results and trends. Implement sales strategies based on analysis.

Analyze existing sales relationships and develop strategies to increase profitability of relationships.

Personal Skills and Qualities

Experience in beverage alcohol sales (distributor salesperson, supplier, key account management, etc.).

Entrepreneurial attitude: strong work ethic, goal focused, organized, with ability to create your own path to success.

Ability to establish priorities and meet or exceed sales goals.

Budget management and resource utilization: conscientious and efficient budget management in order to maximize company profitability and resources in the most effective manner.

Sales ability: effectiveness in inspiring customers to purchase our products. Follow through is a must.

Teamwork: ability to work and communicate productively with colleagues and customers.

Passion for the craft beverage business.

Compensation comprised of commission with base salary.
